One Day in Mozart’s City of Salzburg

After our brief visit to Český Krumlov we traveled three hours southwest, crossing the border with Austria and arriving in Salzburg. This would merely be a quick visit, as our itinerary dictated we had to take the train to Vienna the next day. After dropping of our bags at the newly opened hotel we were staying at, we went off for a self-guided walking tour.

With things like cream sauce, bread dumplings, beer, and fried cheese, Czech food isn’t exactly on the heart-healthy list, but rather on the cheat-day list. As we only had a limited amount of time and didn’t want to eat out everyday, we choose two main dishes accompanied by a couple snacks along the way.

Český Krumlov is situated close to the border of Czech Republic and Austria. It is a very charming town, with its historic center listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. We passed through on our way from Prague, and decided to make a quick one-day stop to explore the beauty of Český Krumlov.

Top Things to do in Czech Republic: Visit Prague

The Czech Republic is well known for its beautiful architectural cities, and of course its beer. We decided to combine both by visiting the countries’ capital: Prague. We arrived in the city after a four-hour bus ride from Kraków, after which we started exploring right away.
