In April 2015, we visited five countries: Colombia, United States, Canada, Fiji, and Australia. Two weeks ago we summarized Colombia, and now it is time for the remainder of the month. After Colombia, we visited the Pacific Northwest, before spending an unexpected day in Fiji. We settled down in Melbourne, but not after we briefly visited Sydney.
From Bogotá we flew into Fort Lauderdale and onwards to Los Angeles. We almost missed our connecting flight, as we left 40 minutes late in Bogotá and it took a long time to clear customs and baggage inspection. Right after we entered the plane, the gate closed, and off to LA we went.
Against our tradition, we will not wait until the end of the month to summarize expenses. As we are leaving South America behind, it is time to wrap up the finances and move on to the next chapter.
After embarking on our journey on Saturday night, we arrived in Amsterdam around noon on Sunday. The flight with Icelandair was decent, but don’t expect any food. We tried to get as much sleep as possible, yet still we managed to sleep in until 2:30PM on Monday. Jetlag, anyone?
We, Mark & Herta, are currently backpacking through Europe, and eventually planning to settle in London. Beyond that? The possibilities are endless.
